About me

Me at some event

I know I've said before that this was not a celebrity project. 

and inshallah (God willing) I stay true to that promise.

But, I felt after being anonymous some time on here, and seeing the overwhelming amount of support and encouragement from my readers, I thought it was time to share a little bit about myself with you and how this blog started.


This blog started after realizing many things:




1) I have constant thoughts and ideas that I'd love to share, but usually can't for whatever reason

2) I needed a place to vent and to see my ideas and growth over time

3) I wanted to talk about things not usually talked about

Me usually before I get an itch to write

So, I began it as a diary of some sort and really dedicated my time to motivate myself and some close others with whom I could share my ideas with and not be afraid to be judged. With time, I began to hear from others about how this blog resonated with them and how some sought motivation and spiritual guidance from what I was writing. That gave me a spark in my little heart. 

Who am I?

 My name is Shefa and I... oh God please help me define who I am- This is like the beginning of every terrifying grade school first class activity...

I like bullet points. How about we start there?

• I like to read
• I like to try and understand myself and people, if I can

Hmm... really that's all I could come up with right now. You know, maybe I'll let you ask the questions and do this based on a request basis. :P

As you can see, in this blog I am an average person who is unapologetically herself. I like to write for myself but if you are interested in what I have to say, then you are most welcome to join me :)
